This all original 1964 Gibson SG Special with early features is in very good condition and presents in a vibrant unfaded cherry finish and weighs in at a feather-light 7 lbs 7.6 oz! If you ever wondered why 1960s Gibson electric guitars are so sought after, you only need to sit down and play this for a few minutes, the single-bound Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, smooth fat neck and frets work together to provide magical playability! The two super-balanced and vocal black soapbar P-90 pickups provide warm and articulate tone with an output of 8.47 at the bridge and 8.44 at the neck; the nickel studs and bridge along with the original meistro tremolo system and kluson deluxe 3 on a side tuners provide superb tuning stability; what more could you ask for in an SG?! Includes the original case from 1964 and travel case, so don't miss your opportunity to make this one yours today before its gone! This all original instrument is in great shape with lots of life left in the frets, the glowing cherry finish shows light checking and a few minor scratches that add to the vintage look, the g string tuning shaft is slightly bent but this does not affect functionality and blacklight inspection indicates the neck has been professionally reset, the back of the neck has a few dents but is satin smooth. The pickguard shows signs of a repair in one place but shows very minimal scratching, and the original volume and tone knobs are near perfect with the silver tops still in place and script crisp and clear.
