Bought a 2001 Gibson LP 57 Reissue from Jim in March 2008.
Had questions about condition of the instrument, and was concerned about shipping. I took a bit of a leap of faith to make the purchase. When it arrived, I breathed a big sigh of relief: Its condition was comparable to what I was told, the method of packing and shipping insured that nothing short of a very violent, deliberate act could do any damage to this instrument or case.
My final fear was allayed only when I played it. Being on the opposite coast, I was still concerned I might have bought a dud, even if packed/shipped well and in "as advertised" condition. Price was right if this was a good one. Turns out this instrument is the best sounding Les Paul of the 4 I own (and a great looker too) - beautiful rich, articulate sound and unbelievable sustain.
I would have no hesitation about doing more business with Jim Singleton down the line, based on this experience.
